Egyptian Child Mummy - Zeeuws Museum Middelburg

The mummified body is that of a child about 7 years old, who had apparently died of rickets (also known as 'the English disease'), The child was given two dolls and a pair of oars to take with her into the afterlife. The dolls were symbols of fertility, and the oars were to help her cross the Nile.
